Dr. Thomas Yatteau is a board-certified family physician with private offices in Santa Rosa. He has privileges at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and Sutter Medical Center. Dr. Yatteau graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Medicine, interned at the University of Minnesota and completed his residency at Stanford’s Affiliated Family Medicine Program. He later served on the voluntary clinical faculty at Stanford while maintaining private offices in San Mateo. Dr. Yatteau has been fortunate as well for the first rate professional collegues he has had over the years.
Throughout his career Dr. Yatteau has been known for clinical excellence and pateint-first innovations. He was the first physician in his area to re-introduce obstetrics to family practice. He was a pioneer in establishing the first free-standing MRI facility, Urgent Care Facility and Hospitalist program for the communities he served.
His excellence in clinical matters and leadership within the physician community led to such appointments as Director of Quality Assurance for Mills Hospital, President and Chairman of BayCare Medical Group (the only completely independent physician group spanning San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties), and Associate Medical Director for PacifiCare, all the while practicing full time family medicine.
In 2001 he relocated his practice to Sonoma County to be closer to family. Creating Sonoma County’s first and now most experienced concierge practice is the latest example of his commitment to clinical excellence and patient-first innovation.
